Mobile RV service across the Spokane area

Spokane is eastern Washington’s RV hub. There’s a big base of local owners who camp at the lakes and in the Selkirks, full-timers who winter in the I-90 parks, military families moving through Fairchild AFB, and a steady stream of rigs crossing between Montana, Idaho and the Cascades. Shop bays fill up fast, especially in spring and right before the first freeze. We come to you instead.

If you searched for mobile RV repair near me, mobile RV service near me or RV generator service in Spokane, this is the page. We do the everyday repairs (generators that surge, furnaces that won’t light, batteries that die over winter, frozen plumbing) and the bigger power work we’re best known for: Victron, lithium and solar systems built for eastern Washington winters, plus Starlink, Peplink and weBoost setups.

Searching for RV service near Coeur d’Alene? On-site visits are Washington only for now, so we can work on your rig anywhere on the Washington side, from Liberty Lake to the state line. In Idaho, remote support by phone, video or Victron VRM works anywhere.

United Mobile RV LLC is dealership-trained, 11+ years: a Victron Energy Certified Installer, a weBoost Certified Installer/Reseller, a Dometic Professional and a Peplink Certified Associate.

RV parks and campgrounds we visit

We’re not affiliated with any of these parks. They’re places local RVers stay, and we’ll meet you at your site where the park allows outside technicians:

  • Roam Spokane RV Resort (the former Spokane KOA): off I-90 exit 293 on North Barker Road in Spokane Valley, open year-round with full-hookup 30/50-amp pull-throughs.
  • Trailer Inns RV Park: at I-90 exit 285 (Sprague) in Spokane Valley, with full hookups, pull-throughs and propane.
  • Northern Quest RV Resort: in Airway Heights, with 67 RV sites including deluxe pull-throughs.
  • Riverside State Park, Bowl and Pitcher: on the Spokane River, with standard, partial and full-hookup sites up to 45 feet.
  • Liberty Lake Regional Park: seasonal county campground with water/electric and a few full-hookup sites.
  • Peaceful Pines RV Park & Campground: in Cheney, for self-contained rigs, from dry camping to full hookups.

Most of our Spokane work is actually in driveways, side yards and storage lots. If the rig can’t move, that’s fine; that’s the point of a mobile tech.

What Spokane’s seasons do to RVs

Winter. Spokane regularly sees snow and hard freezes from November into March, with occasional single-digit cold snaps. Rigs in storage freeze at the low points first: drain valves, the water pump, toilet valves and water heater fittings. Full-timers in the I-90 parks fight frozen hoses, heat tape failures and furnaces that run around the clock. Book winterizing early in fall, because the first cold forecast fills the schedule.

Lithium in the cold. LiFePO4 batteries must not be charged below freezing. A good battery management system blocks charging when it’s too cold, which can look like a dead system on a January morning. We set up low-temperature protection, battery heat or a warmer battery location, and charger settings to match.

Summer heat and smoke. Hot afternoons push air conditioners, inverters and park pedestals hard, and wildfire smoke can noticeably cut solar output for weeks. Generators that sat all winter get asked to carry the AC, and that’s when surging and shutdowns show up.

Big travel days. I-90 climbs to Fourth of July Pass and Lookout Pass in Idaho to the east and crosses the Columbia Basin to Snoqualmie Pass to the west. US-2 and US-395 head north toward the lakes. Pre-trip checks of tires, brakes, breakaway switch and LP system save a lot of roadside trouble.

What we work on in the Spokane area

The repairs and installs we do most across Spokane County, with a short explanation of each:

  • Generator service and repair. We service and repair Onan, Generac and Kohler RV generators: oil, filters and plugs, plus surging, no-start and shut-down-under-load problems. Gas units that sit for months often surge because old fuel varnishes the carburetor; running the generator under load about once a month helps. If you searched RV generator maintenance or RV generator repair, this is the bulk of it: fresh fuel, a cleaned or replaced carburetor, oil and filters, and a test under a real load. See generator service.
  • Winterizing and freeze damage. We winterize with a compressed-air blow-out, RV antifreeze where you want it, and a water heater bypass, and we fix the split fittings, cracked pump heads and leaking valves that a missed freeze leaves behind. If you live in the rig through winter, we check heat tape, heated hoses, skirting and tank heaters instead. See plumbing and our winterization guide.
  • Victron, lithium and solar. As a Victron Energy Certified Installer we install and service MultiPlus inverter/chargers, SmartShunt monitors, Cerbo GX and VRM monitoring, DC-DC charging and solar. Victron systems are ideal for winter storage: a GX device and VRM let you check battery state, solar and shore power from home and get alerts. We also offer ongoing monitoring plans; see remote support. See Victron systems.
  • LP gas, furnace and water heater. Furnaces that click but won’t light, water heaters that fault out, regulators that freeze up or leak, and LP detectors past their date. We leak-test and pressure-check before we call anything fixed. A furnace that runs fine in October and quits in January is often a weak battery, a dirty sail switch or an igniter, not a dead furnace. See LP gas.
  • 12V and shore power faults. Shore power faults, converters, fridges, slides and 12V problems are the core of our diagnostic work. We trace dead outlets, tripping GFCIs, burnt shore power plugs, converters that stopped charging and parasitic draws that flatten batteries in storage. See RV electrical.
  • Roof and seals. Lap sealant around vents, skylights and the AC, seam repairs, and moisture checks with thermal imaging to find soft spots before they spread. Snow load and freeze-thaw open up sealant around vents and the AC, so spring is the time for a roof check. See roof and seals.
  • Starlink, Peplink and weBoost. Mounting and powering Starlink, Peplink routers that fail over between Starlink and cellular, and weBoost boosters for weak signal. Eastern Washington’s open sky suits Starlink, and the lake country and forest roads north of town are where weBoost and cellular failover earn their keep. See connectivity.

How a mobile visit works

  1. Call, text or book online with the year, make and model, what the rig is doing, and where it’s parked in the Spokane area. Photos or a short video help.
  2. We ask a few questions first. Some problems are a setting or a tripped breaker, and we’ll tell you if a remote session can sort it out without a trip.
  3. If we need to come out, we set a day and a time window. Let the park office or storage facility know an outside technician is coming.
  4. On site we test before we replace: meter readings, load tests, and thermal imaging where it helps. You get a plain explanation and a quote before any repair starts.
  5. Most repairs are finished on the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you what and how long, then come back to finish.

OUR TOOL KIT

Our tool kit for Spokane RVers

These are products we’d actually point a Spokane-area RVer toward for the problems we see here: cold-weather batteries, storage drain, smoke-season power and long highway days. Certified-brand gear first.

We don’t have a verified link we’re happy with yet for tank heaters or RV antifreeze, so pick those up locally; tank heaters sized for your tanks and pink RV antifreeze (never automotive) will do. More picks on our recommended gear page, and parts we carry in the United Mobile RV shop.

Spokane RV repair FAQ

Do you go to Cheney, Deer Park and Medical Lake?

Yes. All of those are in our Spokane-area coverage. Text us the address or park and we’ll confirm a day.

Do you go into Idaho or Coeur d’Alene?

Not for on-site work right now. Washington is our on-site service area, so if the rig can be at a Washington address we can meet it there. Remote support works anywhere.

My lithium batteries won’t charge when it’s cold. Are they bad?

Probably not. Most LiFePO4 batteries stop accepting charge near freezing to protect themselves. We check the battery management settings and charger profile, then add heating or move the batteries somewhere warmer.

Can you service my RV generator on site?

Yes. Oil, filters, plugs, fuel system and carburetor work, plus troubleshooting surging, no-start and shut-down-under-load problems on Onan, Generac and Kohler units.

Can you winterize my RV in my driveway?

Yes. Flat-rate winterization is $175 for a travel trailer and $225 for a fifth wheel or motorhome, per our pricing page.

Can you set up remote monitoring for my RV?

Yes. With a Victron GX device and VRM, you can check battery state, solar and shore power from your phone and get alerts.

Will you come to Northern Quest, Riverside State Park or the I-90 parks?

Yes, where the park allows outside technicians. Send your site number and let the office know we’re coming.
