Mobile RV repair in Liberty Lake and the east valley
Liberty Lake sits at the far east end of the Spokane Valley, right off I-90 and only a few miles from the Idaho line. It’s a mix of newer neighborhoods with HOA parking rules, older lake homes, and acreage north of the freeway toward Otis Orchards and Newman Lake. RVs here tend to live in side yards, rented storage along the freeway, or seasonal sites at the county park.
Searching for RV service near Coeur d’Alene? Liberty Lake is about as close as we get. On-site visits are Washington only for now, so if your rig can be at a Washington address or park, like a Spokane Valley storage lot or an RV park off Barker Road, we can work on it there. For Idaho locations, remote support by phone, video or Victron VRM works anywhere.
United Mobile RV LLC is dealership-trained, 11+ years: a Victron Energy Certified Installer, a weBoost Certified Installer/Reseller, a Dometic Professional and a Peplink Certified Associate.

Where we work around Liberty Lake
- Liberty Lake: neighborhoods north and south of I-90, the lake itself, and storage lots along Appleway and the freeway
- Otis Orchards and Newman Lake: acreage and lake homes north of the Spokane River, where rigs usually sit on private property
- Greenacres and Veradale: the east end of Spokane Valley; see our Spokane Valley page
- State line area: Washington-side addresses right up to the border
- Spokane: the rest of the metro is on the Spokane hub
HOA won’t let you work on the rig at home? Many of our east-valley customers have us meet them at their storage facility. Just check that the facility allows outside technicians.

We’re not affiliated with any of these parks. They’re places local RVers stay, and we’ll meet you at your site where the park allows outside technicians:
- Liberty Lake Regional Park: a Spokane County park south of town with 17 standard RV sites (water and 30-amp electric), 3 full-hookup premium sites, a dump station, and showers. It’s seasonal, roughly mid-May through September. The county warns RVers not to follow GPS directions to the campground; use their posted RV route, because the access road is narrow and winding.
- Roam Spokane RV Resort (the former Spokane KOA): on North Barker Road in Spokane Valley, open year-round, with full-hookup 30/50-amp pull-through sites. Liberty Lake is the nearest town for errands.
- Trailer Inns RV Park: at the Sprague exit in Spokane Valley, with full hookups, pull-throughs and propane on site.
- Storage lots and driveways: across the east valley, which is where most local rigs spend the winter.
Dry camping or a 30-amp site at the county park puts a real load on batteries and generators, especially on hot July afternoons with the AC running. If your system can’t keep up, that’s a good reason to call.
RV life around Liberty Lake: winter, smoke and the I-90 corridor
Winters in the east valley are cold and snowy, and the rigs that get hurt are the ones sitting quietly in storage. Water left in the lines freezes and splits PEX fittings and pump heads, lead-acid batteries that run flat can freeze, and mice move in through gaps in the underbelly. We winterize in fall and fix what a hard freeze breaks in spring.
Lithium owners have a different winter problem: LiFePO4 batteries must not be charged below freezing. A good BMS blocks charging when it’s too cold, which looks like a dead battery on a frosty morning. We set up low-temperature protection, battery heat or a warmer location, and charger settings that match.
Summer brings heat, long days at the lake and, in some years, weeks of wildfire smoke drifting in from the Cascades, Idaho or Montana. Smoke cuts solar output noticeably and keeps people inside with the AC and generator running. We size systems and check generator load capacity with that in mind.
This is also the last Washington stop before the I-90 climb into Idaho. A lot of our Liberty Lake work is pre-trip: brakes, tires, lights, breakaway switch, LP system and a charging check before a long haul east or a summer of lake camping.
RV repairs we do most around Liberty Lake
The calls we get most from Liberty Lake, Otis Orchards and Newman Lake:
- Generator service and repair. We service and repair Onan, Generac and Kohler RV generators: oil, filters and plugs, plus surging, no-start and shut-down-under-load problems. Gas units that sit for months often surge because old fuel varnishes the carburetor; running the generator under load about once a month helps. If your generator runs fine with no load but dies when the AC kicks on, it’s often a fuel delivery or carburetor problem, not a generator that needs replacing. See generator service.
- Winterizing and freeze damage. We winterize with a compressed-air blow-out, RV antifreeze where you want it, and a water heater bypass, and we fix the split fittings, cracked pump heads and leaking valves that a missed freeze leaves behind. For lake cabins with an RV parked beside them, we also check outdoor water connections and hoses that tend to get forgotten. See plumbing and our winterization guide.
- 12V and shore power faults. Older lake properties often have undersized outlets, and a 30-amp rig on a 15-amp garage plug will trip breakers and heat up cords. We trace dead outlets, tripping GFCIs, burnt shore power plugs, converters that stopped charging and parasitic draws that flatten batteries in storage. See RV electrical.
- Victron, lithium and solar. As a Victron Energy Certified Installer we install and service MultiPlus inverter/chargers, SmartShunt monitors, Cerbo GX and VRM monitoring, DC-DC charging and solar. A SmartShunt plus a Cerbo GX lets you watch the rig in storage from your phone, so you know the batteries are holding before you drive over. See Victron systems.
- LP gas, furnace and water heater. Furnaces that click but won’t light, water heaters that fault out, regulators that freeze up or leak, and LP detectors past their date. We leak-test and pressure-check before we call anything fixed. We see a lot of furnace no-light calls in the first cold week of fall, after the furnace has sat all summer. See LP gas.
- Roof and seals. Lap sealant around vents, skylights and the AC, seam repairs, and moisture checks with thermal imaging to find soft spots before they spread. Snow load and freeze-thaw cycles open up sealant around vents and the AC, so spring is a good time for a roof check. See roof and seals.
- Starlink, Peplink and weBoost. Mounting and powering Starlink, Peplink routers that fail over between Starlink and cellular, and weBoost boosters for weak signal. Lake homes and storage lots are fine for cell signal, but the forest roads east of here drop out fast. Starlink and a Peplink router cover the gaps. See connectivity.
How a mobile visit works
- Call, text or book online with the year, make and model, what the rig is doing, and where it’s parked in Liberty Lake or the east valley. Photos or a short video help.
- We ask a few questions first. Some problems are a setting or a tripped breaker, and we’ll tell you if a remote session can sort it out without a trip.
- If we need to come out, we set a day and a time window. Let the park office or storage facility know an outside technician is coming.
- On site we test before we replace: meter readings, load tests, and thermal imaging where it helps. You get a plain explanation and a quote before any repair starts.
- Most repairs are finished on the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you what and how long, then come back to finish.

OUR TOOL KIT
Our tool kit for Liberty Lake RVers
These are products we’d actually point a Spokane-area RVer toward for the problems we see here: cold-weather batteries, storage drain, smoke-season power and long highway days. Certified-brand gear first.
- Victron SmartShunt battery monitor: true state of charge on your phone, so you know before the battery bank in storage goes flat.
- Victron Cerbo GX monitoring hub: with the SmartShunt, it puts your rig on Victron VRM so you can check it in storage without driving over.
- Victron Blue Smart IP22 12V 30A charger: a smart charger that holds stored batteries at the right voltage through a Spokane winter.
- Peplink MAX Transit Duo Pro router, installed by us: a dual-cellular Peplink router for working from the rig on the road east.
- Camco 25-ft heated drinking water hose: a heated drinking-water hose rated to -20°F, so you can stay hooked up through a cold snap without a frozen supply line.
- Progressive Industries EMS-PT30X portable surge protector: a portable surge protector and EMS for 30-amp rigs. It cuts power on high or low voltage, an open neutral or a miswired pedestal before that takes out a converter or air conditioner. A 50-amp version is on our recommended gear page.
We don’t have a verified link we’re happy with yet for tank heaters or RV antifreeze, so pick those up locally; tank heaters sized for your tanks and pink RV antifreeze (never automotive) will do. More picks on our recommended gear page, and parts we carry in the United Mobile RV shop.

Liberty Lake RV repair FAQ
Do you come to Coeur d’Alene or Post Falls?
Not for on-site work right now. On-site service is Washington only, so in this area we work in Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley and the rest of the Washington side. If your rig can be at a Washington park or storage lot, we can meet it there, and remote help works anywhere, including Idaho.
Can you work at Liberty Lake Regional Park?
Yes, where the county allows it. Send your site number and let the campground host know an outside technician is coming. The campground is seasonal, roughly mid-May through September.
My HOA doesn’t allow RV work in the driveway. What are my options?
We can meet you at your storage facility or another Washington location where work is allowed. Check with the facility first.
Can you winterize my RV before the first freeze?
Yes. Flat-rate winterization is $175 for a travel trailer and $225 for a fifth wheel or motorhome, per our pricing page. Book early in fall; the first cold snap fills the schedule.
My generator won’t run the AC. Is it too small?
Sometimes, but more often it’s a fuel or carburetor problem, a dirty air filter, or high altitude and heat reducing output. We test it under load before recommending anything.
Do you do pre-trip inspections?
Yes. Brakes, tires, lights, breakaway switch, hitch and LP system. It’s the same flat-rate trip prep and safety check listed on our pricing page.
What does a visit cost?
The on-site diagnostic visit is $175. It’s a standalone fee for on-site troubleshooting. Labor is $150/hr.
