Mobile RV Repair in the Tri-Cities (Pasco, Kennewick, Richland), WA

The Tri-Cities sit where the Snake and Yakima rivers meet the Columbia. The area has RV resorts, Corps of Engineers campgrounds on the rivers, and plenty of long-term and working RVers. United Mobile RV comes to your site in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland and West Richland, and out to Benton City, Burbank and Prosser. Most rigs get here on I-82, I-182 or US-395, not I-90.

This is sunny, hot high desert: great solar country, and tough air-conditioning country. Our focus here is Victron, solar and lithium power, shore power problems, Starlink and Peplink, and diagnostics.

United Mobile RV LLC is dealership-trained with 11+ years: a Victron Energy Certified Installer, a weBoost Certified Installer/Reseller, a Dometic Professional, and a Peplink Certified Associate.

RV parks and campgrounds we visit

We’re not affiliated with these parks. Send us your site number and we’ll meet you there:

  • Horn Rapids RV Resort, Richland, with 225 full-hookup sites and 30- and 50-amp service
  • Pasco/Tri-Cities KOA Journey, Pasco, with long pull-through sites
  • Wright’s Desert Gold Motel & RV Park, Richland, on Columbia Park Trail
  • Charbonneau Park on Lake Sacajawea and Hood Park near where the Snake meets the Columbia. Both are Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds with electric sites, open seasonally.

What we work on in the Tri-Cities

  • Air conditioning on battery power. Running a rooftop AC from batteries takes a properly sized lithium bank and inverter/charger, and usually a soft-start. We’ll tell you honestly how many hours to expect. We won’t promise all-day AC on solar.
  • Solar that pulls its weight. Long, sunny days make this some of the best solar country in the state. We design Victron MPPT and lithium systems to make the most of it. See Victron systems.
  • Shore power under load. On hot afternoons, every rig in the park runs its AC at once, and low pedestal voltage is hard on compressors and electronics. We test the supply, check your cord, plug and transfer switch, and can add an EMS that cuts power before low voltage does damage.
  • Heat and dust. Roof panels and AC units collect dust, and battery compartments run hot. We look at cleaning, ventilation and battery placement.
  • Starlink and Peplink for long-term and working RVers who need dependable internet. See connectivity.
  • Diagnostics. Fridges, slides, water heaters and 12V faults. See electrical and appliance repair.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run my air conditioner off solar?

For a few hours, with the right system. Running a rooftop AC from batteries takes a large lithium bank, an inverter/charger sized for the start-up surge, and ideally a soft-start. Solar helps refill the bank, but most systems can’t run AC all afternoon on solar alone. We’ll size it to what you actually need.

My shore power keeps cutting out on hot afternoons. What’s wrong?

Often it’s low voltage at the pedestal when the whole park is running AC, or a worn plug or cord heating up. We test the supply and your side of the connection, and can install an EMS that protects the coach from low voltage.

My RV fridge can’t keep up in the heat. Can you help?

Absorption fridges struggle when it’s well over 90°F, especially in direct sun. We check the heating element or burner, the venting and the fans, and can add vent fans. If it’s time to replace it, we’ll talk through 12V compressor options.

Do you come to the Corps of Engineers campgrounds?

Yes, while they’re open for the season. Send your park and site number.

Do you cover Prosser and Walla Walla?

Benton City and Prosser, yes. Walla Walla is case by case, so text us first.
