Mobile RV Repair in Vancouver and Clark County, WA

RVs are everywhere in Clark County: parked in driveways and side yards in Vancouver, Camas and Battle Ground, tucked into storage lots along I-5 and I-205, and set up for long stays at parks near Ridgefield. United Mobile RV comes to where your rig already is, so you don’t have to tow it to a shop and wait weeks for a service bay.

Most of our work here is power and connectivity: Victron inverter/chargers, solar and lithium, Starlink and Peplink. We also track down 12V and shore power faults and troubleshoot furnaces, fridges and water heaters before a trip.

United Mobile RV LLC is dealership-trained, 11+ years: a Victron Energy Certified Installer, a weBoost Certified Installer/Reseller, a Dometic Professional, and a Peplink Certified Associate.

Campgrounds and RV parks around Clark County

We’re not affiliated with any of these parks. They’re just places where Clark County RVers stay, and we’ll meet you at your site:

  • Paradise Point State Park, right off I-5 on the Lewis River north of Ridgefield. It has 18 utility sites with water and electric, plus standard and primitive sites. Maximum site length is 40 feet, with limited availability.
  • Battle Ground Lake State Park, northeast of Battle Ground. It has six water-and-electric sites for RVs up to 35 feet, plus standard sites and cabins.
  • Big Fir Campground & RV Park, Ridgefield. Full hookups with 20/30/50-amp service under tall firs, open year-round.
  • Vancouver RV Park in Hazel Dell, with full-hookup back-in and pull-through sites and 30/50-amp service.
  • Ninety-9 RV Park, Vancouver, with full-hookup and pull-through sites.

What we work on in Clark County

  • Victron and lithium upgrades. Swapping tired lead-acid batteries for LiFePO4, adding a MultiPlus inverter/charger, and setting up a Cerbo GX so you can check the system in VRM from your phone. See Victron systems.
  • Solar that works in a wet-side winter. Panels make very little under November cloud. We size the battery bank, solar and DC-DC alternator charging so you aren’t counting on sun that won’t show up. Our solar sizing guide explains the math.
  • Starlink and Peplink for full-timers and anyone working from the rig. We mount and wire the dish, set up a Peplink router to switch between Starlink and cellular, and add weBoost where signal is weak. See connectivity.
  • 12V and shore power faults. Batteries that die in storage, converters that quit, GFCIs that trip, burnt shore power plugs and pedestal problems. We can add an EMS so a bad pedestal can’t take out your electronics. See RV electrical.
  • Appliances and diagnostics. Furnaces, fridges, water heaters, roof AC, water pumps and slide-outs, diagnosed at your driveway or campsite.

Seasonal notes

Winters here are mostly wet and mild. When cold east wind pours out of the Columbia River Gorge, though, Vancouver and east Clark County can get freezing rain and ice storms. Rigs sitting in storage take the hit: batteries drained by small parasitic loads, lithium banks that shouldn’t be charged below freezing, and water lines at risk on the coldest nights. We set up battery monitoring, low-temperature charge protection and battery heat so the system protects itself while you’re not around.

Spring is the busy season, when everyone is getting ready for the first trip of the year. If you want us out before a planned departure, call or text early.

While you’re in the area

  • Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. The River S Unit has a one-way gravel auto tour loop that’s open to vehicles year-round. From October through April you stay in your vehicle.
  • Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, with the reconstructed Hudson’s Bay Company fort, Vancouver Barracks and the Pearson Air Museum.
  • Lewisville Regional Park in Battle Ground, a historic county park on the East Fork Lewis River.

Pricing

On-site diagnostic visit: $175. Labor: $150/hr. The $175 diagnostic is a standalone fee for on-site troubleshooting. Every visit has a minimum: one hour of labor ($150) or the $175 diagnostic, depending on the job. $75 trip fee within 50 miles. Over 50 miles, $2.00/mile both ways. Parts and supplies vary per job. You’ll get a quote before any repair work starts. Flat-rate winterization is $175 for a travel trailer and $225 for a fifth wheel or motorhome. The details are on our pricing page.

Help before we get there

Some problems don’t need a truck roll. A remote support session by video or through Victron VRM can fix a lot of settings and charging issues on the spot. If you do need us on site, we’ll show up with the right parts.

How a visit works in Clark County

Call, text or book online with the year, make and model, what the rig is doing, and where it’s parked. Photos or a short video of the problem help a lot. We ask a few questions first, and if it sounds like a setting or a tripped breaker we’ll say so, or suggest a remote session before anyone drives out.

If we need to come out, we set a day and a time window. On site we test before we replace: meter readings, load tests and thermal imaging where it helps. You get a plain explanation and a quote before any repair starts, and most repairs are finished on the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you what and how long, then come back to finish.

Have ready: clear access to the battery bay, generator compartment or water heater door; shore power if you have it; enough propane to test LP appliances; and any error codes or Victron VRM screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come to Portland or anywhere in Oregon?

Not for on-site work yet. On-site service is Washington only for now, so in this area we stay on the Clark County side of the river. Remote help works anywhere, including Oregon.

Will you work at my house, storage lot or RV park?

Yes, as long as the property allows it. Driveways and side yards are easy. Some storage facilities and parks want to know when an outside technician is coming, so check with the office and send us your site or space number.

Can you put lithium batteries in my trailer in my driveway?

Usually, yes. We check your converter or inverter/charger, alternator charging and wiring first. A lithium swap done right often means new charge settings or a DC-DC charger, not just new batteries.

My batteries are dead every spring. Why?

Almost every RV has small loads that run all the time, like the propane detector, stereo memory and control boards. Over a winter in storage they drain the bank. A battery disconnect, a monitor or a small solar or shore power setup fixes it, and we can show you which one fits how you store the rig.

Do you go up to Longview and Kelso?

Yes. We group calls north on I-5 into route days. Text your location and we’ll tell you the next day we’re up that way.
