Mobile RV Repair in Port Townsend, WA
Port Townsend sits at the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula, where Admiralty Inlet opens into Puget Sound. With the Victorian downtown, Fort Worden, Fort Flagler on Marrowstone Island and the ferry to Whidbey, it draws RVers for anything from a weekend to a whole season. Our core work is Victron, solar and lithium power, Starlink, weBoost and Peplink, and on-site diagnostics for 12V, shore power and appliance problems.

Roads and ferries
- SR-20 leaves US-101 near Discovery Bay and runs into Port Townsend, past Fort Townsend State Park.
- SR-19 runs north from SR-104 through Chimacum toward Port Hadlock and Port Townsend.
- SR-104 crosses the Hood Canal Bridge to Kitsap. The floating bridge closes to traffic when it opens for marine traffic or in high wind, so we leave room in the schedule.
- The Port Townsend–Coupeville ferry crosses Admiralty Inlet to Whidbey Island. Vehicle space is limited, so reserve ahead if you’re bringing an RV.
Campgrounds and RV parks around Port Townsend
We’re not affiliated with any of these. They’re common Port Townsend stays, and we’ll meet you at your site:
- Fort Worden Historical State Park, on Admiralty Inlet at the north end of town. The Beach Campground has full-hookup sites and the Upper Forest Campground has partial hookups. Some Beach Campground sites have planned utility upgrade closures, so check the State Parks notices before you book.
- Fort Flagler Historical State Park at the north tip of Marrowstone Island. The lower campground has 55 full-hookup sites, with room for RVs up to 50 feet at a limited number of them. The upper campground has standard sites only.
- Point Hudson Marina & RV Park, run by the Port of Port Townsend. It’s a waterfront park with full-hookup sites, a short walk from downtown.
- Fort Townsend State Park, a wooded park on Port Townsend Bay south of town. It has no hookups, a 40-foot maximum site length, and a campground that closes for the winter season.
What we work on in Port Townsend
- Salt air on every connection. Fort Worden, Point Hudson and Fort Flagler all sit right on the water. Salt works into battery terminals, grounds, shore power plugs and solar connectors, and the faults it causes come and go. We trace the bad connection and protect it. See RV electrical.
- No-hookup weekends. Fort Townsend and the Fort Flagler upper campground have no hookups, so the house battery carries everything. We size lithium, solar and charging so a long weekend doesn’t end with a dead bank. See Victron systems and our lithium battery buying guide.
- Patchy cell signal. Coverage varies by carrier and by site, even inside Fort Worden. We set up Starlink, weBoost and Peplink so you stay connected. See connectivity.
- Seasonal and long-stay rigs. Coaches that sit for months at a marina park or in a Jefferson County driveway come back with drained batteries and tired converters. We test the system and add monitoring so you can check it from anywhere.
- Appliances. Furnaces, fridges, water heaters and water pumps, diagnosed at your site.
Seasonal notes
Summer and early fall are the busy months. The Wooden Boat Festival takes over Point Hudson and the Northwest Maritime campus every September, and campgrounds fill around it. Fort Townsend’s campground closes for the winter, and Fort Worden’s beach loop has planned upgrade work, so check the park notices before you plan a stay. Port Townsend sits partly in the Olympic rain shadow and gets less rain than most of western Washington, but winter wind off the water is hard on seals and connections.
While you’re here
- The Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival, held each September at Northwest Maritime and Point Hudson.
- Fort Worden, with its gun batteries, the Coast Artillery Museum, the Port Townsend Marine Science Center and the walk out to Point Wilson Lighthouse.
- Fort Flagler on Marrowstone Island, which guarded the entrance to Puget Sound together with Fort Worden and Fort Casey on Whidbey.

Frequently asked questions
Can you work at Fort Worden or Point Hudson?
Yes, where the park or the port allows it. Send us your site number and let the office know a technician is coming.
My lights flicker and the water pump quits at random. Is that salt corrosion?
Often, yes. Near the water the usual culprit is a corroded ground, fuse block or battery connection. We test under load to find the exact point instead of swapping parts.
Do you cover Port Ludlow, Chimacum and Quilcene?
Yes. All of east Jefferson County is on our Olympic Peninsula route days. Text your location and we’ll give you a date.
Do you take the ferry over to Whidbey?
We schedule Whidbey visits from the mainland side, usually with our Bellingham and North Sound days. Text us first.
