Mobile RV Repair in Kitsap and Hood Canal, WA

The Kitsap Peninsula sits between Puget Sound and Hood Canal, across the water from Seattle. With Naval Base Kitsap and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, there’s a big military community here, lots of RVs parked at home or in storage, and a string of state parks along Hood Canal. United Mobile RV comes to your rig in Bremerton, Silverdale, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, Belfair and around the canal.

We focus on power and connectivity (Victron, solar and lithium, Starlink, weBoost and Peplink), plus on-site diagnostics for 12V, shore power and appliance problems.

United Mobile RV LLC is dealership-trained with 11+ years: a Victron Energy Certified Installer, a weBoost Certified Installer/Reseller, a Dometic Professional, and a Peplink Certified Associate.

Where we work on the Kitsap Peninsula

  • Bremerton and Port Orchard, on SR-3 and SR-16
  • Silverdale and Poulsbo, up SR-3 and SR-303
  • Kingston and the north end, near the Edmonds ferry and the Hood Canal Bridge on SR-104
  • Bainbridge Island, over the Agate Pass Bridge on SR-305
  • Gig Harbor, just across the Tacoma Narrows on SR-16
  • Belfair and Hood Canal: SR-3 south to Belfair, SR-106 along the canal’s south shore to Twanoh and Union, and Seabeck on the east shore

Coming from Tacoma? SR-16 crosses the Tacoma Narrows Bridge into Gig Harbor, and the toll is charged eastbound only. Our Tacoma and Seattle pages cover the east side of the Sound, and the Hood Canal Bridge leads on to Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula.

Campgrounds and RV parks around Kitsap and Hood Canal

We’re not affiliated with any of these parks. They’re common stays on this side of the Sound, and we’ll meet you at your site:

  • Kitsap Memorial State Park on Hood Canal north of Poulsbo, open for camping year-round, with eight full-hookup sites, three partial-hookup sites and standard sites.
  • Belfair State Park at the far end of Hood Canal near Belfair, with full-hookup sites you can reserve year-round. Its Tree Loop is seasonal and limited to rigs 18 feet or shorter.
  • Twanoh State Park on SR-106 along the south shore of Hood Canal, with 22 full-hookup sites for RVs up to 35 feet, at limited availability. Reservations run May 15 to September 15, and the rest of the year is first-come, first-served.
  • Scenic Beach State Park near Seabeck, with views across Hood Canal to the Olympics. There are no hookups and generator hours are limited, so your battery bank does the work overnight.

What we work on around Kitsap

  • Military moves and new-to-you rigs. Before a PCS move or a first trip in a used RV, we check batteries, the converter or inverter/charger, shore power and appliances so you’re not troubleshooting on the road.
  • Rigs parked through the wet season. Months of rain and storage mean drained batteries, corroded connections and converters that quit. We find the cause and add monitoring. See RV electrical.
  • Boondocking on the canal. At no-hookup parks like Scenic Beach, lithium, solar and a good inverter make quiet hours easy. See Victron systems.
  • Connectivity in the trees. Tall firs along Hood Canal block satellite and cell signal. We find a spot with a clear view for Starlink, add weBoost and tie it together with Peplink. See connectivity and our Starlink RV guide.
  • Appliances and diagnostics. Furnaces, fridges, water heaters, slides and water pumps, diagnosed at your site.

Seasonal notes

Summer weekends fill the Hood Canal parks, so book early if you want us out between June and September. Winters are wet and mild, with the occasional windstorm and power outage. The Hood Canal Bridge closes to traffic when it opens for marine traffic and during high wind, so north-end trips can run long. If you plan to dig clams or gather oysters on Hood Canal, check the Washington Department of Health shellfish safety map first, since biotoxin closures are common.

While you’re here

  • Puget Sound Navy Museum in Bremerton, near the ferry terminal. Admission is free.
  • Downtown Poulsbo, a waterfront town on Liberty Bay that leans into its Scandinavian heritage.
  • The Hood Canal Bridge, the longest floating bridge in the world over salt water.

Pricing

On-site diagnostic visit: $175. Labor: $150/hr. The $175 diagnostic is a standalone fee for on-site troubleshooting. Every visit has a minimum: one hour of labor ($150) or the $175 diagnostic, depending on the job. $75 trip fee within 50 miles. Over 50 miles, $2.00/mile both ways. Parts and supplies vary per job. You’ll get a quote before any repair work starts. The details are on our pricing page.

Help before we get there

Start with a remote support session if you can. Many Victron, charging and network problems can be fixed by video or VRM, and if we still need to come over, we’ll know what to bring.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on base?

Base access is up to the base, not us. Most of our Kitsap work is at off-base homes, storage lots and RV parks. If your rig is on base, check the visitor rules before you book.

Do you cover Bainbridge Island and Gig Harbor?

Yes, both are on our Kitsap route days along with Bremerton, Silverdale, Port Orchard and Poulsbo.

Can you set my rig up for no-hookup camping at Scenic Beach?

Yes. We look at how you use power, then size lithium, solar and an inverter so you can run lights, the fridge and devices overnight without the generator.

Does the ferry or the bridge make scheduling hard?

We plan Kitsap days so we aren’t tied to a ferry schedule. Text your location and we’ll give you a realistic date.
