Custom built vans, Sprinters, and school bus conversions need systems that actually support off-grid living — not factory RV components designed for weekend campers who need shore power every two days. We specialize in the electrical, power, and systems work that makes a build functional, reliable, and capable.
Victron Energy certified. LiFePO4 battery systems, MPPT solar, inverter/charger integration at a professional level. We don’t do finish carpentry — we build the systems that make your rig work.
BOOK A BUILD CONSULTATIONWho We Build For
Vanlifers & Custom Built Vans
Building out a Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster, or full-size van for full-time or extended travel. Whether you’re starting from a bare cargo van or finishing a partially completed build, we handle the systems side of the project.
Skoolie Builders
Converting a school bus into a full-time home. Skoolies have more space, more power demands, and more complex system requirements than a van build — and they need a builder who understands that difference.
DIY Builders Who Need Professional Help
If you’ve done your own build but the electrical isn’t right, the solar isn’t performing, or you need a Victron system properly commissioned and programmed, we can step in at any stage of a project.
Existing Builds That Need Fixing
Undersized wire, missing fuse protection, incorrect charge parameters, and improperly programmed inverters are things we find and fix on existing builds regularly. Systems installed by someone who didn’t know what they were doing are more common than they should be.
Power Systems for Custom Built Vans & Skoolies
The power system is the most important and most complex part of any van or skoolie build. Get it right and you have a reliable, capable off-grid setup. Get it wrong and you have a system that underperforms, fails prematurely, or creates a fire hazard.
System Design & Load Analysis
Every build starts with a power audit — what you’re actually running, how long you run it, and what your charging sources are. From that we size the battery bank, solar array, and inverter/charger correctly for your real usage rather than a generic estimate.
LiFePO4 Battery Banks
Higher usable capacity, faster charge acceptance, longer cycle life, and significant weight savings over AGM. We size the bank to your needs, handle BMS integration, and verify charge parameter compatibility across every charging source in the system.
Victron Inverter/Charger Installation
The Victron MultiPlus and Quattro series are the gold standard for mobile off-grid power. We handle the full installation — AC input and output wiring, DC connections, transfer switching, and complete programming through VEConfigure. Every parameter set correctly for your battery chemistry and usage profile.
MPPT Solar Controllers
Solar panel array wiring, combiner boxes, appropriate fusing, and Victron MPPT controller installation and programming. Charge profile matched to your battery bank. String configuration optimized for your roof layout and shading conditions.
DC-DC Chargers
Charging your house battery bank from your alternator while driving is an important part of a complete charging strategy — especially in low-sun conditions. We install Victron Orion DC-DC chargers sized correctly for your alternator capacity and integrated properly with your battery management system.
Shore Power Integration
A proper shore power inlet, appropriate amperage wiring, and inverter/charger configuration that handles the transition between shore power and battery/inverter operation seamlessly. Input current limiting set correctly so you don’t trip breakers at campgrounds with limited service.
Victron VRM Remote Monitoring
Every Victron system we install gets configured for VRM portal access — real-time visibility into your battery state of charge, solar production, power consumption, and system status from your phone. You always know what your system is doing.
Additional Systems
12V DC Wiring & Distribution
Properly sized wire runs, appropriate fusing at every circuit, a clean distribution panel, and labeled circuits throughout. We don’t run undersized wire, we don’t skip fuses, and we don’t leave wire runs unsecured.
Fresh Water Systems
12V demand pump installation, fresh water tank integration, PEX supply line runs to sinks and showers, pressure regulator for city water connection, and inline filtration. Built to work reliably and winterize when needed.
LP Gas Systems
Propane tank mounting, regulator installation, copper supply line runs, appliance connections, and full leak detection and pressure testing before sign-off. Every LP installation is tested with a manometer and combustible gas detector.
Diesel & Propane Heating
Webasto, Espar, and diesel air heater installation and wiring. Propane heating system installation. Proper exhaust routing, combustion air intake placement, and control wiring. Heat that works reliably in cold weather is not optional for full-time living.
How We Work on Build Projects
Build projects are quoted per project after a consultation to understand the scope, the vehicle, and what systems are being installed. We work in stages if needed — power system first, then water, then gas — or tackle everything at once depending on the build timeline.
We document every system we install. Wire runs labeled and mapped, component settings recorded, and a system overview provided at project completion. Every installation is tested fully before we sign off — power system under load, water system pressurized and leak-checked, LP system pressure tested, heating system cycled through full operation.
YOU DON’T TAKE DELIVERY OF A SYSTEM WE HAVEN’T VERIFIED WORKS
If something needs service down the road — whether we do it or someone else does — there’s a clear record of how the system was built.
