The most expensive RV repairs are almost always the ones that could have been caught early. A sealant joint that gets inspected and resealed every year stays a $50 repair. Left alone for three seasons it becomes a subfloor replacement. A battery that gets load tested annually gets replaced on your schedule and your budget. One that fails on a Friday night three hours from home becomes an emergency.
Preventive maintenance keeps your rig reliable, protects your investment, and makes sure that when you’re ready to go, it’s ready to go with you.
What a Full Annual Service Visit Covers
No two RVs are exactly alike, and a proper maintenance visit isn’t a checklist run through in 45 minutes. We work through each system methodically, document what we find, and give you a clear picture of your rig’s condition — what’s good, what needs attention now, and what to keep an eye on.
Roof & Exterior Seal Inspection
Every penetration on the roof — vents, antennas, AC units, refrigerator vents, skylights, and cap seams — inspected close-up for sealant condition. Sidewall seams, window frames, door frames, and slide-out seals checked as well. Failed or deteriorating sealant resealed during the visit. This is the single most important preventive maintenance task on any RV.
Electrical System Check
Shore power inlet condition, battery state of health via load test, converter output voltage and charge stage verification, 12V fuse and breaker panel inspection, and a check of major circuit operation. We test the system under load, not just at rest — because that’s where problems actually show up.
Battery Load Testing
A battery that reads 12.6 volts at rest can still fail under load. We test every house battery and chassis battery with a proper load tester to determine actual capacity and whether replacement is coming up. The difference between planning a replacement and getting stranded by one.
LP Gas System Verification
Regulator condition and output pressure testing, supply line inspection for wear and damage, appliance feed verification, and combustible gas leak detection at every connection point. LP system integrity is a safety issue first and a maintenance item second — it gets done right every time.
Plumbing System Pressure Test
Fresh water system pressurized and held to check for slow leaks at fittings, connections, and line runs not visible during normal use. Water pump operation and pressure switch function verified. Holding tank valve condition checked.
Appliance Operational Check
Every major appliance cycled through its operating modes — refrigerator on gas and electric, furnace ignition and heat output, water heater on gas and electric, and AC cooling output. Not just confirming they turn on — verifying they’re operating within spec.
Slide-Out & Awning Inspection
Slide seal condition and compression, slide mechanism lubrication, awning fabric and hardware condition, and awning arm operation. Slide seals are one of the most overlooked maintenance items on any RV with slideouts.
Thermal Imaging Scan
A thermal imaging pass over key areas — electrical panel, battery connections, shore power inlet, and any suspect wall or ceiling areas — to identify heat anomalies, moisture-saturated insulation, and connection issues before they become failures.
Exterior & Undercarriage Walkthrough
Tire condition and inflation, wheel lug torque check on trailers, hitch and coupler inspection on towables, safety chain condition, breakaway switch function, and a general exterior condition assessment.
Why Annual Service Matters More Than Most Owners Realize
RVs sit. Even ones that get used regularly spend more time parked than moving, and storage is hard on every system. Seals dry out and crack. Batteries sulfate. LP regulators age. Roof membranes oxidize. None of it happens overnight, and none of it is obvious until something actually fails.
An annual service visit catches the cumulative effect of a year of use and storage before it turns into a repair bill. For full-timers and heavy users, a mid-season check in addition to the annual visit makes even more sense.
WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION
We provide a written summary of everything checked, everything found, and everything done at the conclusion of every maintenance visit. You’ll have a record of your rig’s condition over time — which matters if you ever sell it, file an insurance claim, or just want to know what’s been done and when.
Seasonal Services
Winterization
Fresh water system blow-out with compressed air, antifreeze added to trap seals and water heater bypass as needed, low-point drains verified open, battery disconnect and storage prep, and a final exterior check before the rig goes away for the season.
De-Winterization
Full system flush, water heater bypass position verified and heater returned to service, fresh water system pressurized and leak-checked, battery condition check, appliance operational verification, and a roof and exterior inspection coming out of storage. The right time to find anything that happened over winter before the season starts.
